came from “Caliburn” which is another name for Excalibur. Another name for Excalibur is also Caledfwlch, which is the origin of Dave’s sword Caledscratch.

ALSO it is said that the scabbard of Excalibur had magical powers as well, one of those powers is that the wearer would not die of blood loss or similar injuries. That’s interesting… Excalibur could also blind its foes. There are a few characters in Homestuck who are blind…
